I am 27 year old college Senior, who after an extended break returned to finish my final semester. I grew up in Portland, OR and moved to Newport Beach California in 2001 and currently live in Los Angeles. After residing in Southern California for 9 years I consider myself and local and well versed in state issues. One of the most controversial and on the forefront of California politics is that of illegal immigration. This issue affects everyone of us, resident or non-resident of California. For those of us who call California home, this problem is a driving element in our daily lives. This subject is extremely complex with no clear cut answer, I have chosen to focus on one of the many problems at hand, undocumented residents driving without a license or insurance. Although this only one symptom of the greater problem, if we can get to the root if it we can better understand what we are truly dealing with.
